These Terms & Conditions apply to anyone using this website operated by Westline Electrical Services Pty Ltd (trading as Westline Electricians Perth, Westline Electrical Services & Westline). By visiting our site, asking for a quote, or engaging us for work, you agree to the terms below.
1. Definitions
- Company means Westline Electrical Services Pty Ltd (ABN: 51 620 673 467), including its staff, contractors & agents.
- Client means any person or business purchasing goods or services from us.
- Services covers all electrical works, installations, maintenance, monitoring & related jobs carried out by us.
- Equipment means any materials, parts or products we supply.
- Site is the property or location where the work is carried out.
- Agreement is any contract, quote or engagement (verbal, written or electronic) between the Client & the Company.
2. Quotations & Acceptance
- Quotes are valid for 15 days unless stated otherwise.
- A quote is accepted once the Client confirms in writing, verbally, or allows us to start work.
- Once accepted, the Agreement is binding. If cancelled, we may recover costs already committed.
3. Ownership & Risk
- We keep ownership of all Equipment until it’s paid in full.
- Risk transfers to the Client when the Equipment is delivered or installed.
- If payment isn’t received, we may remove our Equipment & the Client must allow access to do so.
4. Installation & Access
- We’ll aim to complete installs promptly, subject to parts, labour & scheduling.
- The Client must provide clear & safe access to the Site. Delays, inductions or obstructions may attract extra charges.
- The Client must advise us in advance if asbestos or other hazards are present.
5. Payment Terms
- Unless agreed otherwise, invoices are payable on completion of work.
- The Client is responsible for all costs involved in recovering unpaid amounts, including agency & legal fees.
- Deposits are non-refundable if cancellations occur within 72 hours of the scheduled job.
6. Warranties & Limitations
- New Equipment supplied carries a 12-month warranty unless noted otherwise.
- Warranty does not apply to existing equipment or items supplied by the Client.
- We don’t guarantee that new installs will integrate with old systems.
- We are not responsible for indirect loss, downtime or failures to detect/deter unauthorised activity.
7. Client Responsibilities
- Regular servicing & maintenance is the Client’s responsibility.
- The Client must tell us about any Site changes that may affect safety or suitability of the install.
- Alarms & safety devices should be tested regularly. Dust, insects & moisture can affect performance.
8. Liability
- Nothing in these Terms removes rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
- Where permitted by law, our liability is limited to:
- repair or replacement of Equipment, or re-supply of Services.
9. General
- Discounts or promotions must be claimed at the time of booking. They cannot be back-dated.
- We may subcontract work without notice.
- Failure to enforce a clause does not remove our right to enforce it later.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
